Sonnet Tempo cards and Maxtor drives Following up on our previous coverage last week on possible problems with Tempo cards and some large drives (see one and two), Neal McAuley of Sonnet tech support writes: "We obtained a WD 450AA drive in-house to test. Without doing anything to it, we hooked it up to a 8500 with a Tempo card and it formatted with 42GB, which seems about right. No tweaking jumpers or anything else." Installing Office 98 and 2001 on the same system David Creamer told us that he was able to use both versions of Microsoft Office (98 and 2001) by installing Office 2001 normally and allowing 2001 to finish the installation with the "First Run" process, then reinstalling Office 98 and removing its "First Run" application so it would not overwrite the 2001 extensions. We do not believe that Microsoft endorses this technique. Email Cleaner no longer works with QuickMail Pro? Pete Goudrea writes: "After upgrading QuickMail Pro from v2.0.4 to v2.1, Email Cleaner v1.8.4 no longer is capable of loading selected email text to the clipboard for "cleaning" in response to clicking the "clean" button on the floating toolbar. There also appears to be some problems with the toolbar recognizing mouse clicks after the first error message reports that there is no text to clean. This problem never appeared when using any previous version of Email Cleaner with QM Pro v2.0.4"
