There's something about 2011's Temple Run. It's simple, but it also has that something special that has you saying to yourself, "just one more go". And before you know it, another half hour has passed.

The game's sequel has now arrived for iOS, and it's brought with it a host of tweaks and updates, giving the familiar gameplay something new while retaining what we loved about it in the first place.

The first thing you'll notice is the updated graphics — a welcome upgrade, given the original game's fuzziness on retina screens. But the environments have been given a hefty makeover too, both in function as well as cosmetically, as you run up and down hills, navigate ruins, leap booby traps and sail down zip-lines. It's even taken a leaf out of Pitfall's book with mine carts.

Additionally, there are more power-ups that you can purchase — and you can save up your coin meter, double-tapping to activate it when you need it most.

It's a fantastic addition to the original, both in look, feel and new features.
