T-Mobile poised to launch HTC One S April 25

T-Mobile's next big Android release is expected to arrive in but two weeks time. Pricing remains a mystery, but it will be the first T-Mobile phone with Android 4.0.

T-Mobile's next Android smartphone, the One S, is expected in short order. HTC

T-Mobile is all but ready to announce an official launch date and price for the HTC One S, according to newly leaked details. TmoNews has obtained a screenshot that shows the carrier has circled April 25 for its debut of the powerful HTC smartphone.

Initially unveiled at Mobile World Congress a few months ago, T-Mobile was quick to announce future support for the HTC One S. The dual-core smartphone has been released in Europe and other countries and is already scoring high marks .

T-Mobile's pricing remains a mystery, though I suspect that it will hover somewhere around the $200 mark. Sprint's upcoming HTC Evo 4G LTE (a variant of the HTC One X) is a more formidable device so I doubt that T-Mobile could get more from its customers.

The HTC One S will be T-Mobile's first smartphone to run Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Additional specifications include HTC's latest version of Sense UI, a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED screen, an 8-megapixel rear camera, and support for T-Mobile's HSPA+ 42Mbps network.
