Success with Alternative Zio Driver

Michiel Houtman reports that installing an alternative driver for his Zio USB Flash Card reader (which is marketed under two brand names, and therefore has two different driver versions), alleviated the kernel panic after sleep problem reported on Friday.

Dazzle's listed version is 1.09b, while MicroTech lists version 1.09.

Individual users confirm that the problem began occuring after installing the MicroTech flavor if the Flash Card reader's driver, version 1.0.9. A note on Micro Tech's Web site states that the driver update "supports Mac OS X 10.1 and 10.2."
