StuffIt Deluxe 6.0.1 released

StuffIt 6.0.1 updates were announced today. The StuffIIt Deluxe update is free to registered users of version 6.0. Here is a quick look at what is new:

StuffIt Deluxe 6.0.1 – New Features

• Addition of GnuTar file decompression support, which gives extra control for Mac OS X users by maintaining file and user permissions.
• Symbolic Link: a powerful feature for OSX users that allows packaged applications to be Stuffed, and un-Stuffed without any data loss.
• Improved Microsoft Entourage 'Stuff and Mail" support allows users to automatically attach archives to outgoing Entourage e-mail messages.
• Continued support for Mac OS 8.1 and higher, including OS X.
• Improved anti-virus support empowers users to choose their favorite anti-virus application to automatically scan for viruses upon "un-Stuffing."

StuffIt Expander 6.0.1 and DropStuff 6.0.1 – New Features

• Users can now shift-click to select multiple items to compress or expand in both Stuffit Expander and DropStuff.

Aladdin DropZip 6.0.1 now works with Mac OS X.
