StuffIt Deluxe 10.0: Incorrect unstuff times; other issues

We've received our first reports of issues with StuffIt Deluxe (including StuffIt Expander) 10.0, released yesterday.

Incorrect unstuff times MacFixIt reader Randy Smith reports that the new release is incorrectly reporting estimated unstuff times.

Randy writes:

"StuffIt Deluxe 10 is incorrectly reporting unstuff times. A file which should take about 20 minutes to unstuff is reporting 2023406814 hours to go before it is finished, I don't think I can wait that long. The file will unstuff in about 20 minutes despite what the display says."

Problems launching Meanwhile, Peter Gergely reports problems launching both StuffIt Deluxe and StuffIt Expander since the update.

Peter writes:

"I have done two installs on Mac OS X 10.4.2 systems. One on a G4/450 that was upgraded, and the other on a Dual G5/2Ghz that was done with archive and install. Both machines have Stuffit Deluxe 9.02 running perfectly.

"After the install of StuffIt Deluxe 10.0, the menu extras work fine, but trying to launch either Stuffit Deluxe or Stuffit Expander causes the application to crash immediately. Reboots, cache cleans, preference removals, de-installs of the whole product, and a reinstall seem to make no difference on both of my machines."
