Hot dogs and burgers cooked over an open flame may be associated with summer, but they are not the only foods that go well with warm weather and outdoor activities. A much sweeter option exists, and will be found in the hands--dripping down the fingers--of people everywhere. S'mores seemingly exist mainly to fuel packs of sugar-hungry kids as they tear around on campgrounds, beaches, and parks, but those ravenous (and sticky) youngsters no longer have to wait to get to the great outdoors to enjoy the goopy treat. Now, this high-octane snack can be made easily indoors.

The Nostalgia Electrics SMM-100 Old Fashioned S'Mores Maker brings the deliciousness inside. The small countertop appliance may not use an open flame, but that doesn't mean it has to be any less fun. Featuring instant-on use with no preheating required, the machine "fires" up quickly, giving even antsy kids something to focus on. In use, a 2-minute timer keeps count of the cooking time and an integrated automatic shut-off makes for a nice safety feature--considering the kids will be off and running the moment the s'mores are ready. Just remember when it's time to clean them up, the hose is best used outside.
