If you're on the Android side of the smartphone fence, and your apps are giving you a bit of a headache by being slow or unresponsive, you might want to try clearing the cache.

There are apps to do this for you on Google Play, but to get some DIY action, all you need to do is head into the main menu, go to Settings and press Applications.

Hit "Manage Applications", then move to the All tab to show up every app on your phone. Any particular app that you think is causing trouble, just select it and press "Clear Cache". You can also check how much storage it's taking up, and get rid of it if it's taking up too much space.
