Speck debuts CandyShell Fit, an Apple Watch cover
Speck, a leader in smartphone and tablet cases, has gotten into the Apple Watch game with its $29.99 CandyShell Fit protective cover.

The Apple Watch continues to gain accessories, the latest of which comes from Speck, a leader in the smartphone and tablet case market.
It's the CandyShell Fit, a $30 protective cover that "provides full bezel protection to guard the smartwatch's glass screen, defend against shock, and allow complete access to the digital crown and side button."
Speck says that like its smartphone cases, the CandyShell Fit combines a hard polycarbonate shell with a TPU interior to absorb shock. A raised bezel rises 1.5mm above the Apple Watch touchscreen to act as a bumper "between the face and surrounding environments." According to the company, the cover is sweat-resistant and can also withstand extreme temperatures and topical chemicals like sunscreen and lotions.
Most accessory makers are focusing on the larger size Watch, but a Speck rep said that the CandyShell Fit will be available for both sizes (38mm and 42mm) and all three versions of Apple Watch.
CandyShell Fit will ship in a variety of colors starting later in May. Speck isn't taking preorders, but you can sign-up to be notified when it officially becomes available for sale.
