SpaceSaver and Eudora conflict: a work-around that finds the missing files

Regarding disabling SpaceSaver as a work-around for the previously mentioned SpaceSaver and Eudora conflict, Craig Cadwallader writes with another work-around. It also appears to find the supposedly lost files: "The problem with turning off SpaceSaver is that SS compressed files are no longer available. If SpaceSaver has been used extensively (as I have), and not enough space on the hard disk remains to expand all the SS compressed files (as I also have), then you cannot turn off SS because you will not have access to the compressed files.

I found my disappearing email files (I'm using Eudora Pro 4.1b54) to be located in new files located in the System Folder/Eudora Folder/Spool Folder under the names of "In.temp" and "Out.temp." Moving these files from the Spool Folder into the Mail Folder in the Eudora Folder makes them available when restarting Eudora. I then transfer files out of the "In.temp" mailbox into the appropriate existing mailboxes (filters no longer work as another aspect of this conflict). I don't know if this would be the way to find a workaround in Netscape since I do not use Netscape mail.

I have performed this Eudora workaround many times and seem to get all my email this way, but, as a backup, I have set Eudora to leave my mail on my server until this problem is resolved."
