The handset is priced at AU$629 RRP, and will be available on Vodafone's AU$50 per month plans.

The Xperia TX is Sony's latest attempt to make its presence felt in the smartphone category, though so far it has struggled in many regions next to the likes of Apple and Samsung. The TX is attention grabbing, though, with a 13-megapixel camera and 4.6-inch 720p resolution display. It also supports the latest wireless connectivity options: near-field communication (NFC) and Miracast.
