The Sony Xperia Z1 Honami is set to make its debut in less than a week, and new leaked photos show the follow-up to thein more detail than ever before.
These new high-quality snaps come courtesy of Chinese site 365dian, translated by Xperiablog, and are showing off the Honami's roomy screen. The Honami moniker is most likely a codename; the screen of this leaked phone reads Xperia Z1 L39h, if that means anything.
These latest pictures suggest the camera will be a 20.7-megapixel job with a 1/2.3-inch chip doing the business inside.
Previous rumours suggest the Honami will boast similar specs to the Xperia Z, including a 5-inch high-definition screen and quad-core processor, but with a larger 3,000mAH battery.
Although we don't have the exact measurements yet, the Honami looks a little thicker than the Xperia Z. The bottom of the phone sports a large speaker grille, while the 3.5mm headphone jack sits on the top. The headphone jack isn't covered, making us wonder whether the new phone will be waterproof, like the current model -- a handy skill shown off by everyone's favourite pint-sized Canadian punk poppet.
The Honami is expected to be unveiled on 4 September -- that's next week. Cripes! Where does the time go? -- at technology trade show IFA in Berlin. We'll be there to bring you all the first news, previews and videos -- so keep it CNET for all the exciting new gadgets from IFA.
