Sony Walkman continues its tumble

Sony president Ryoji Chubachi admitted to reporters that the Walkman brand of digital audio players has not met initial targets for the past year. "We miscalculated with the Walkman," he said. Here in the States, we haven't seen anything new from Sony in a long while. The company teased us with the A series (available in Asia and Europe) and a tiny flash player, but so far in 2006, it's been a dry season in Sony Walkman land. We do know there will be a revamped Connect service appearing soon.
