The biggest reveal was a teaser for a new Uncharted game, expected to be called Uncharted 4, and feature the series' signature mix of cartography and shooting men -- but this time in 60fps 1080p, we can assume. Here's the video, which has absolutely no gameplay but a top-notch gravelly voiceover:
Other tidbits from the event include the news that PS4 owners will get to play Destiny, the new game from Halo makers Bungie, before Xbox One fans, albeit in beta. Metal Gear Solid, also available on both systems, will have some exclusive downloadable stuff on PS4, letting you play as a hilariously blocky PSOne version of good ol' Snake.
The new console's lineup of games is far from inspiring, although as my colleague Danny O'Dwyer over on GameSpot points out, that's hardly an unusual state of affairs. Certainly, the Xbox One's lineup is no better.
It takes time for developers to get to grips with a new system, and with final hardware available for very little time and under strict security, it's virtually impossible to create brand new games in time for launch.
Reviews of the PS4 have generally been positive, although most have prominently criticised the lack of games.
