It's not uncommon for people to associate professional photography with lots and lots of equipment. Sony Australia has decided to take this notion further and have a bit of fun with these fictional photographer types who have all the gear, but no clue how to use it.

The company has put out a series of videos entitled DSLR Gear No Idea to promote the company's range of NEX interchangeable lens cameras. Funnily enough, no mention is made that Sony also sells a range of SLR cameras as well.

The highlights package is below, but there are full vignettes of photographers wreaking havoc with their gear available for viewing at the DSLR Gear No Idea YouTube channel. Prepare to cringe once or twice as you recognise either yourself starting out or the follies of fellow photographers. All in good humour, of course.
