Sony cuts back on its CES Cyber-shot announcements

If you like Sony's cheap cameras, you're in luck. The rest of you will just have to wait.

LAS VEGAS--At CES 2011, Sony announced nearly its entire spring/summer Cyber-shot lineup--11 cameras--all at once. This year, not so much.

So, yeah, nothing great. The one big feature they all share is a new 360-degree Sweep Panorama mode that lets you create panoramic images simply by pressing the shutter release and sweeping the camera. Those of you (myself included) who were expecting to see some new compact megazooms or ultracompacts have some waiting to do, I guess.
