Sonos added Google Play Music support just over a month ago, and now the wireless home audio company is offering an extended free trial to new buyers.

Sonos' new "Dads and Grads" promotion packs in a free six-month subscription to Google Play Music All Access with any purchase of a Sonos player, which includes speakers like the Sonos Play:1 , as well as home audio components like the Sonos Connect . Google's All Access service typically costs $10 (£10 in UK) per month for unlimited streaming of its subscription music catalog, and also integrates with Google Play Music's ability to store up to 20,000 tracks of your own digital music for free.

The promotion runs until July 5 and is available at Amazon, Best Buy, and Target. This offer replaces Sonos' traditional spring promotion, which included a free Sonos Bridge with the purchase of any player. The change in the promotion makes sense, now that Sonos is evolving its wireless technology so that the Bridge (or any Ethernet connection) is no longer needed.

Sonos still isn't saying when its new wireless technology will roll out to customers, but this promotion seems to indicate that the Bridge won't be required for long.
