Son of Weather Grok fix due today; other Carbon-build problems noted

John Schilling (of StimpSoft) writes: "It has become apparent that Son of Weather Grok 1.6 does not fix the issue with users being unable to connect when behind a firewall. I have torn out the old code that handles the internet connection and rewritten it from scratch. Reports from users who have tested this new build report success at getting the weather from behind a firewall. I must do more bug-slapping before I can release this new version (1.6.5). If you are behind a firewall and having problems with Son of Weather Grok, hold tight. The new version should be out by today (Monday). Also, I am aware of several issues with the carbon builds of Son of Weather Grok and Faust's Friend. I am working on fixing such issues as disappearing buttons and what-not, but keep in mind, the applications, the development software (REALbasic) and Mac OS X itself are still all beta versions."
