Solution for scanner not being recognized on wireless network after 10.5.8 update

MacFixIt reader "Dennis S." writes in to tells us about a solution he found to his Epson scanner not working properly after the Mac OS X 10.5.8 update.

Dennis' Epson scanner was not working properly following the Mac OS X 10.5.8 update. He says he was not able to locate the scanner on his wireless network.

Solution
Reset the PRAM:

1. Shut down your computer.
2. Press and hold (Command Option P R).
3. Turn on your computer, continuing to hold those keys.
4. Once the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for a second time, release the keys.

Once the PRAM has been reset, open the Epson Scanner Settings and reset those as well. That should clear up your issues. Also, be sure your Epson drivers are up-to-date.
