Simple, tough Archos player coming soon?

Archos 204 digital audio player details.

Archos 204
DAPreview

It looks as though Archos might be taking a break from their big, beautiful and expensive digital video players to drop us a new MP3 player. No word on the Archos Web site yet, but a press release from Spain shows a 20GB Archos 204 digital audio player with a color screen and a solid-looking enclosure. The design copies the company's GMINI XS 200 effort from 2005, only this time there's support for displaying color JPEG photos. Noticeably missing are video, radio, Wi-Fi, and presumably a recording function. Still, if Archos can keep this player under the $200 mark (if it hits the U.S.) people just might be taken in by the brick-tough looks and no-frills features.
