Simple Technology 256MB SDRAM and G3 450's: potential system crashes

Luke Krill writes: "I recently received 2 G3 450's and 5 Simple Technology 256MB SDRAM memory modules for them. After installing the RAM upgrades I gotvarious crashes on start up."

Simple Technology told him that "the part number I had STA-MACG3/256 will cause crashes if installed in slots 2 and 3. (The slots are numbered on the motherboard 0, 1, 2, 3.) I confirmed this with testing. They said I need STA-MACG3/256A which will go into any slot."
