Silverlining 5.8.2 and Silverlining Lite 2.2 announced

Mike Mihalik (of La Cie) sent the following announcement: "We plan to release Silverlining 5.8.2 and Silverlining Lite 2.2 on January 1st. It is both a maintenance release as well as a release adding new capabilities. Highlights of the changes:

1. Support for new Extended Volume Format, also known as HFS . Users will be able to create HFS partitions and also have control of allocation block size.
2. Corrected problems with passwords
3. Improved IDE drive support, supporting multi-block transfers; better support of media bay devices on PowerBooks
4. Performance improvements in the SCSI driver for small data transfers
5.. Compatible with Mac OS v.8.1 as we know it this week.
