Short: Yahoo, Granite to offer Net/TV news

Yahoo and Granite Broadcasting will offer combined Internet-TV news programming with an emphasis on local news which will broadcast daily to nine mid-sized U.S. cities, the companies announced today. The search engine and Granite say they seek to develop a "new media" prototype that will make gaining access to the Internet easier. The news programs will combine local and national news, feature stories, and online information. Yahoo will offer local news feeds from the stations as well as online information and display it in real time on the Yahoo media desk.
