Short: ViewCall agreements to expand Web/TV

ViewCall America announced agreements with USA Today, VLSI Technology, and GridNet International. ViewCall selected VLSI as its development and marketing partner, and GridNet as its preferred ISP to be bundled with TVs or set-top boxes, which will give users direct access to USA Today's Web site. ViewCall is working with TV manufacturers to develop TV-based Web extensions to enhance the quality and availability of TV-friendly content to the Web, according to the company.
