Short Take: USWeb/CKS technology officer leaves firm

Internet professional services firm USWeb/CKS said co-founder and former chief technology officer Sheldon Laube has left the company to head CenterBeam, a start-up focusing on providing computer services to small businesses. In addition, USWeb/CKS said it has invested in Laube's new venture. Financial terms of the relationship were not disclosed.
