Short Take: USAToday.com adds personal finance tools

USAToday.com will provide consumers with a personal financial-management system developed by eBalance, a financial-data collector. Beginning in July, people will be able to consolidate updated financial information from banks, brokerages, mutual funds and other organizations, as well as manage investments, purchases and assets. The alliance is part of the news site's effort to expand its services. The site already sells books, athletic equipment and travel-related goods.
