Short Take: SonicNet, Macromedia team for animated Web radio

TCI Music's SonicNet and Macromedia's ShockRave have launched FlashRadio, a site that will bring together music from SonicNet Web radio channels and Shockwave animations in what creators are calling "the spirit of a rave." FlashRadio's visuals will differ from the videos seen on MTV in that they will not be synchronized with the songs. Synchronized animations would require permission from bands, while ongoing animations do not.
