Short Take: Snap searches aid in school fund-raising

Snap.com, the portal service from NBC and CNET, and Schoolpop.com, a fund-raising Web site for schools, announced a partnership in which Snap will provide the search engine on Schoolpop's site, and K-12 schools will receive a rebate for each search. The partnership launches Snap into the domain of philanthropic-based shopping communities where rewards are given to schools for online purchasing activity. CNET is the publisher of News.com.
