Oracle has purchased a business application software package from British Petroleum for handling commercial oil processing systems. The software supplier plans to enhance the downstream oil commercial processing software, and then distribute it to multinational companies in the energy industry. The software, called ISP by BP, addresses the wide range of downstream energy business processes.
