Short Take: Nordstrom.com kicks off ad campaign for shoe site

Nordstrom.com today announced its first-ever national advertising campaign to introduce what it calls the "world's biggest shoe store," Nordstromshoes.com. The ad campaign, dubbed "Make room for shoes," will run through a variety of mediums including TV, print, and outdoor advertisements beginning November 1. Nordstrom.com--an Internet subsidiary of Nordstrom--is spending $15 million on its advertising in the fourth quarter of 1999. Nordstrom.com launched in October 1998.
