In a $47 million dollar deal, Multilayer Technology, a subsidiary of the DII Group, announced it would acquire IBM's circuit board production facility in Austin, Texas. Multilayer said the acquisition should have no bearing on analysts' per-share earnings estimates of $1.54 per share for the second half of 1997.
