Short Take: Hotwire signs technology partners

Hotwire, an upcoming online travel service supported by six major airlines, has bolstered plans for its planned Web site by signing on technology partners Scient, Sabre and Eland Technologies. The companies will help Hotwire in the areas of back-end software, real-time fare tracking and e-business strategy. The venture, supported by American, America West, Continental, Northwest, United and U.S. Airways, has 50 employees and $75 million in initial funding.
