Short Take: Drudge has first day in court

Gossip columnist Matt Drudge, author of the now-infamous Drudge Report, got his first day in court in Washington. The trial began for a $30 million lawsuit filed by White House adviser Sidney Blumenthal against Drudge and America Online, which published the allegedly libelous column. Drudge is asking the court to dismiss the action or to transfer it to California.
