Short Take: Diamond ships 56 kbps modems

Diamond Multimedia Systems shipped its analog modems using Rockwell's 56-kbps technology. The SupraExpress 56i and 56e, priced at $169.95 and $189.95 respectively, will be followed within the next several weeks by Macintosh and speakerphone versions. The modems come bundled with software including VDONet, Microsoft's Internet Explorer, and Netcom's NetComplete with Netscape's Navigator. The modems also feature the V.80 standard for video phone-ready modems.
