Short Take: Compaq to use Tut technology

Compaq Computer announced that it will license easy-to-use home networking technology from Tut Systems for inclusion in the company's products. Tut makes technology that allows computer users to set up a network using existing phone lines in their home. Compaq would not disclose the specific products that will include Tut's technology, but it will likely find its way into the company's PCs. Separately, Compaq licensed Java-based application server technology from Novera.
