Short Take: Cisco rolls out IOS upgrade

Cisco Systems formally rolled out an upgrade to its Internetworking Operating System (IOS) software for its network routing and switching devices. Though the company has been adding features to the existing software for some time, Cisco officially announced the immediate availability of version 12.0. The upgrade includes new quality-of-service, voice, security, and reliability features.
