Microsoft chief Bill Gates has given his two charitable foundations some $3.345 billion, according to magazine. The donation is believed to be the largest charitable gift ever made, the magazine said. Gates has given some $2.23 billion to the William H. Gates Foundation, which makes grants to health and human services-related causes, and $1.115 billion to the Gates Learning Foundation, which provides libraries in low-income areas with software and computer services.
