Short Take: Bay Area news media joining forces

San Francisco Bay Area news outlets the San Jose Mercury News, KPIX Channel 5, and Contra Costa Newspaper's Hot Coco site announced a partnership to cross-promote their content through the Web and TV. The sites will incorporate audio and video news clips of news, sports, and weather coverage, and KPIX footage will be featured on Mercury Center. In addition, all three properties will trade advertising.
