Bay Networks announced a new version of its NetID software for IP-based services and management that now supports redundancy for the DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol). The software essentially guarantees that clients will not be cut off from the network due to DHCP server downtime. NetID 3.0 will ship this month with prices starting at $14,000.
