Short: Sun names vice president of server group

Sun Microsystems announced Mark A. Canepa as vice president of its rapidly growing Workgroup Server Products Group. Formerly, Canepa was general manager of Compaq's workstation division, and is a 20-year veteran of Hewlett-Packard, where he was general manager of workstation operations. The Workgroup Server products compete with low-end servers from other Unix vendors and Microsoft and Intel platforms.
