Compaq announced the Sterling Memory Initiative, a program designed to provide a maximum 48-hour cycle time between order and delivery. Compaq will rapidly respond to decreasing component prices, and increase memory availability to its customers, according to the company. Compaq also announced that it has cut prices for some models of its Fast Page, Armada, and ProLiant products.
