Sentillion snags $18 million

Sentillion said Wednesday that it has received $18 million in a third round of funding, led by Merrill Lynch Ventures. Other investors included Dresdner Kleinwort Capital, Universal Health Services, and previous investors First Consulting Group, Intersouth Partners, Newbury Ventures, Polaris Venture Partners and St. Paul Venture Capital. Andover, Mass.-based Sentillion has raised a total of $29 million. The company's software is designed for the health care industry and integrates applications on the desktop without affecting the data within those applications.
