Samsung Galaxy S II comes in white for T-Mobile
T-Mobile USA will soon sell a white version of the Samsung Galaxy S II smartphone in time for the holidays.
It will be a white Christmas for T-Mobile USA subscribers looking to buy the Samsung Galaxy S II.
On Tuesday, the carrier announced that it will soon offer the smartphone in a second color: white. It. T-Mobile said it will offer more details about where and when the white Galaxy S II will be offered in the "coming weeks." But T-Mobile promised it will be available in time for the holidays.
The Galaxy S II is one of T-Mobile's top smartphones. The device runs on Android Gingerbread 2.3.5 software. No word yet on if and when it will get the latest version of Android, which us Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, but my guess is that it will.
This device is also one of T-Mobile's first smartphones to support the absolute fastest version of HSPA+ the company has running on its network. It can support theoretical download speeds of 42 Mbps. (Remember that is theoretical and no where near real world download speeds.)
Samsung has introduced different versions of the Galaxy S II on other major carriers. And they've gotten top marks from reviewers, including CNET's own Reviews staff. In fact, thewon an Editors' Choice award, and the Sprint version, the Samsung Epic 4G Touch also received high praise.
