Samsung Galaxy Note 4 specs seemingly leak online

Samsung is expected to unveil its Galaxy Note 4 phablet on September 3, but an online store may have just spilled most of the key features of the device.

A dedicated product page from Indonesian Internet retailer Erafone describes the Note 4 in full detail, purportedly revealing or confirming just about every key spec, including the price tag, at least in Indonesia currency.

The phone as listed by Erafone will sport a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED 1,440x2,560-pixel display, include a 16-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization, and come with 4GB of memory. For your storage needs, the Note 4 will offer a choice of 16GB, 32GB, or 64GB with an option to add a microSD card that can hold up 128GB of data

Rumors about the Galaxy Note 4 have been popping up the past month or two, leading people to speculate just how the company will try to outdo its Note 3 , which also packs a 5.7-inch display and an array of impressive features. Samsung's Note lineup has proven popular with consumers, but the company always has to try to top itself with each new model. Plus, Samsung is battling a decline in overall profits and market share due to increased competition, especially in emerging regions. So the company faces the added challenge of launching the Note 4 in a less hospitable global market.

Still, assuming Erafone's info is correct, the Note 4 will enhance the screen resolution, the camera, and the processor, among other items.

To power its performance, the Note 4 will come with either one of two CPUs, depending on the version of the device that sells in your region. Buyers will see either a 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 805 chip or an octa-core Exynos 5433 with four 1.3GHz Cortex-A53 and four Cortex-A57 cores. Some reports say the model with the Snapdragon chip is headed for the US, while the edition with the Exynos processor will land in international markets.

Outfitted with Google's Android KitKat 4.4.3 operating system, the Note 4 will also include the latest flavor of Wi-Fi, namely 802.11ac, according to Erafone. Oh, and one other detail -- the price listed on the product page is 9,499,000 Indonesian rupiah, which converts into $813 and €607. However, don't read too much into that price. Since Samsung has yet to even announce the Note 4, let alone its price tag, Erafone may simply be using the 9,499,000 number as little more than a high-priced placeholder.

The Note 4 is likely to take its official bow on September 3 at Samsung's Unpacked launch event, which will be held simultaneously in Beijing, Berlin, and New York. In the meantime, Samsung has already started promoting its Note lineup once again.

As spotted by blog site G for Games, Samsung has raised some public banners in Beijing touting the Note 4. And a new video published on Samsung's product campaign page focuses on the Note 3 but spends the last few seconds to tease the Note 4.
