The rebooted Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 may be called the 2014 edition, but expect it to hit stores a few months before the new year rings in. The 10.1-inch tablet will be available on October 10 with preorders starting at midnight EST on September 27.

Pricing for the Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition is set at $549.99 for the 16GB model and $599.99 for the 32GB model.

The 2014 edition of the Note 10.1 is a refreshing upgrade to last year's model, with a razor-sharp 2,560x1,600-pixel resolution, smaller bezels, thinner profile, and leather-effect rear casing that comes in black or white.

On the inside, the tablet will house an Exynos 5420 quad-core processor, 3GB RAM, and microSD card slot that's expandable up to 64GB. The new model also features updates to its integrated S Pen stylus, including more shortcuts and productivity tools.
