Samsung's TwoStep SCH-r470 debuts with U.S. Cellular.

Pardon us for not telling you about this last week, but we were pretty busy with all the cell phone news at CES . On Friday, however, Samsung announced that its new TwoStep was coming to U.S. Cellular.

Why the company didn't break the news in Las Vegas, we don't know. Indeed, Samsung's cell phone division had a very quiet week at the show.

Also known as the SCH-r470, the TwoStep offers a slim flip phone design in orange, red, and purple. On the front face you'll find a monochrome display, music controls, and stereo speakers. Above the screen is a lens for the 1.3-megapixel camera. Inside there's a 262,000 display. Both the keypad and navigation array appear to be flush but also relatively spacious. The TwoStep doesn't break new design ground, but it's not unattractive either.

As you might expect, the TwoStep's star attraction is its music player. You'll also find Bluetooth, a microSD card slot, text and multimedia messaging, a speakerphone, and a personal organizer. You can get it for free with service and a mail-in rebate.
