SafeMail bug report: Highware replies

CNET staff
Last week, we described a reader report of bugs with SafeMail 2.0.1. Highware replied to several of the points mentioned. In particular:

Regarding: SafeMail Menu - when used on files in the Finder (Mac OS 8.6): "Encrypt / Sign" menu item doesn't.

Highware replies: "We has not received other reports of this problem and has not been able to replicate it."

Regarding: SafeMail Menu - "Encrypt / Sign" dialog window doesn't remember any settings at all.

Highware replies: "This is not a bug, but we do accept it as a useful suggestion."

Regarding: SafeMail Keyring Manager application: Keyring selection dialog at application startup, option "Locate Keyring" doesn't work at all: After selecting existing keyring, the dialog keeps coming up, saying "Can't find default keyring."

Highware replies: "This is a bug which happens only under certain specific circumstances. The next free update will contain the fix for this problem. In the meantime, there is a simple workaround: click Cancel in the dialog then choose Settings from the Edit menu and enter your keyring location from there.
