These BB-8 high heel shoes may be the droid fashion statement you're looking for.

Mikeasaurus/Instructables

Star Wars fashionistas are spoiled with choices for fun footwear.

We've already come across Star Wars Vans sneakers, Star Wars wedges, Chewbacca Crocs and even lightsaber high heels.

Those who want to take fandom a step further can now make their own Star Wars BB-8 droid heels with a step-by-step guide on Instructables.

Crafty user Mikeasaurus shows how to create your own pair of BB-B heels using a pair of women's 2-inch (5 centimeter) mid-heel pumps and 2.5-inch solid wood balls. After removing the existing heels, Mikeasaurus makes a new steel post for each one using a machine screw that's 2.5 inches long.

After some welding and the use of heavy-duty E6000 glue to keep the new heel in place, Mikeasaurus drills holes into the wooden balls that will make the droid's body. Paint the white and orange details on the body of the heel.

Then add decoration to the shoes themselves using craft foam, and your BB-8 heels are ready for a spin.

This craft tutorial, 25 steps in all, may be a bit more complicated than typical Star Wars crafts, but the result is geektastic to say the least.

If you want to keep your feet in Star Wars style using a more classic droid, Mikeasaurus also has a craft tutorial on how to make R2-D2 heels.
