Rockstar offers in-game apology for GTA Online issues
To say sorry for the teething issues with GTA Online, Rockstar is giving all players $500k of in-game currency.
GTA Online, the multiplayer side of GTA V, was not without its hiccoughs at launch.
While some players just couldn't get online, others were reporting more severe issues, including lost saved games. Now Rockstar has said sorry with a cash gift — half a million GTA dollars for use in game.
"For players who experienced cloud server errors, connection issues and lost game progress and characters in these first days of GTA Online, we hope this GTA$ helps to facilitate a fresh start or makes your continued life in Los Santos and Blaine County extra sweet," said Rockstar on its blog.
The GTA$ will arrive in two instalments and will be available to everyone who plays GTA Online this month and installs the latest update patch.
There's no full time frame for the delivery of the "stimulus package", but the first load of payments could arrive at the end of this week.
