Replies to Margin Notes Aside from several comments of agreement ("couldn't have said it better myself"), the most repeated message in readers' replies to yesterday's Margin Notes on Mac OS X was that "Rhapsody is not dead." In brief, the assertion is that Max OS X (and Carbon) represent the unification of Rhapsody and Mac OS that Apple had always predicted. It's just happening sooner than predicted. And as pointed out in numerous sources, Mac OS X will be optimized for the G3 (although it will likely still run on some older machines). So, if you were thinking of getting a G3 upgrade to your existing Mac (or getting a new Mac entirely), it's looking like a better and better idea each day.
